Cascade High-Voltage Large-Capacity Energy Storage Technology Leader

This document advocates and leads cascade high-voltage and large-capacity energy storage technology, addressing critical challenges in modern power systems dominated by renewable energy. As China pursues its 'double carbon' goal and energy security, the rapid development of new energy necessitates robust grid energy storage solutions. Conventional energy storage systems face bottlenecks like limited single-unit capacity (under 3MW), low efficiency, and safety hazards due to massive battery cell arrays and low-voltage high-current designs. The proposed technology focuses on three key areas: topology research and optimal design of large-capacity network-type energy storage converters using hybrid topologies and AI algorithms; network control, broadband oscillation suppression, and transient stability through 'correction-suppression' methods and parameter adjustment; and systematic development of large-capacity high-voltage liquid-cooled energy storage converter devices with multi-dimensional redundancy, protection, and fault isolation. These innovations aim to enhance grid stability, support high penetration of renewables, and overcome technical barriers in topology, control, and system integration.
