5MWh Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage Battery Container System

This document details a 5MWh liquid-cooled energy storage battery container system designed for efficient thermal management and safety. The system employs water cooling optimized through thermal simulations and waterway design to maintain battery temperature consistency. It integrates comprehensive monitoring including fire smoke and temperature sensors, flammable gas detection, and video surveillance. The DC system comprises multiple modular battery clusters with a high-voltage box, supporting flexible capacity adjustment. Key technical parameters include a rated power of 2.508MW, rated energy of 5.016MWh, DC voltage range of 1040V to 1518.4V, and DC side energy cycle efficiency over 93.5% at 0.5C. The battery cells offer a cycle life of 8000 cycles at 0.5C and 25°C with 90% DOD. The fire protection system uses point-type temperature and smoke detectors, combustible gas detectors, and exhaust systems to safeguard the container. The BMS solution covers topology, power supply, communication, and equilibrium strategies, ensuring reliable operation within -20°C to +55°C ambient temperatures.
