200MW/400MWh Energy Storage Power Station Design Plan

This document presents a comprehensive design plan for a 200MW/400MWh energy storage power station, focusing on the energy storage system section. It begins by emphasizing the necessity of energy storage under China's dual carbon goals, highlighting its role in balancing renewable energy intermittency and ensuring grid stability. The plan covers classification of energy storage technologies, including mechanical (pumped hydro, compressed air, flywheel), electromagnetic (supercapacitors, superconducting), and electrochemical (lead-acid, lithium-ion, flow batteries). It details architecture and design principles, comparing technical routes such as DC 1000V, DC 1500V, high-voltage cascaded, and modular schemes. Key equipment selection is addressed, particularly for power conversion systems (PCS), along with control and protection systems like BMS, EMS, and coordination control. Thermal management design for battery containers and a main equipment list are included. The plan aims to enhance new energy consumption, provide peak-shaving and frequency regulation, and support a safe, stable power grid.
